You will love our newly renovated home. The West Coast design features an open concept with an abundance of natural light, wood, granite and slate. We have lovely ocean views from various parts of the house and patio. The "great room" is perfect for entertaining and the kitchen is treat to cook in. The home is a split level with a very large master suite/bathroom on the upper level. A den with a futon can be used for sleeping and has a full bathroom across the hall. The guest bedroom with it's own full bathroom on the lower level is small but has a queen bed and has large windows to view the back garden. Our home is situated on a large lot overlooking fields and the ocean and is on a quaint and quiet no through lane. We have just completed major landscaping with front and back patios, sidewalks and flowering shrubs, plants etc. This is an incredible country setting with 2 beaches just a 5 minute walk away. This morning I saw a deer in our backyard and then walked to the beach where there was a group of sea lions playing in the bay and a crane at the waters edge!

Our home is located in the very desirable area of Cadboro Bay. The village of Cadboro Bay has a variety of stores and services and is only a 15 minute walk from home. A popular large beach and park are steps from the village. The University of Victoria is less than a 10 minute walk away and offers lovely gardens, trails and a great bus service to all areas of the city and outlying areas. We think this is the perfect mix between country and city as it feels quite rural but we have all of the necessary amenities close by and the city is only a 15 minute drive away.

Victoria is a small city and is the capital of British Columbia. It is situated at the southern most tip of Vancouver Island which is easily accessible by air or by ferry from Vancouver area. It is renowned for it's beautiful architecture and gardens and it's sunny Mediterranean climate. There is something for everyone here as it has fabulous shopping, dining, historical tours etc. and offers a lot for outdoor enthusiasts such as whale watching, hiking, windsurfing, boating/sailing, biking etc. The gulf islands are easy to get to and are fun to explore. Further up island you will find areas that are world renowned for their wilderness and beauty such as the beaches of Tofino and the old growth Cathedral Grove forest.

We prefer small villages over busy cities. A historic apartment or home within walking distance to shops and market would be ideal.

We (Dave and Christine) are in our 50's and have lived in B.C. all of our lives. We have recently moved to Victoria from the beautiful Okanagan area. The mild winters, moderate climate, the ocean and family have attracted us here. Christine is a "retired" community nurse who still works occasionally. Dave works seasonally in the forest industry during the spring and summer months but is generally free to travel in the fall and winter. We have 4 adult children who no longer live at home. We enjoy the outdoors, entertaining family and friends, golfing and traveling. We have been fairly "close to home" while raising our children and are anxious to explore the world.
